PHOENIX, AZ May 7, 2001 - The most anticipated Professional Disc Dog Competition of the 2001 season just got a whole lot more exciting! Yes, the rumors are true - this year will certainly prove to be the biggest in the history of the sport.
Every year in the fall, Professional Disc Dog Trainers from all over the United States come to compete in what is known as the most challenging Disc Dog Competition in the United States - The Flying Disc Dog OpenTM. Professionals compete for top cash and prizes. The competition traditionally holds three Regional Legs covering the West, Central, and Eastern United States.
“The growth and support of the competition has exploded over the past few years and we needed help to make it even better, take it to the next level” says Bill Watters, FDDO Director. “HotDog Media is the company that will help us get there.”
With years of experience in Radio, Television, and the Internet, HotDog Media was formed by a group of Media Professionals, who themselves are disc dog enthusiasts and dog trainers. “There is incredible synergy between our two organizations,” states Ken Roberts, HotDog Media Partner. “Though no one in our group has or does compete, experiencing the grassroots support firsthand, we knew we had to get involved.”
“All I can say is, I’m pumped,” says Watters. “This will be the absolute best season we have ever seen. With their involvement, and actions already taken, there is no question that this season is going to blow the sport wide open.”
The competition is made possible through sponsorship from companies ranging from the pet industry to sports wear/gear to promotional and media companies, themselves. Announcements of Title and Supporting Sponsorships are scheduled for later this month, however the FDDO is still looking for additional sponsors to get involved.
